"So nicely done Jo! You captured the idea of "balance", which is of course the core meaning of the symbol: lion and lamb. The carvings on the dead limb works well, i felt that it was a nice touch but i wasn't sure from your perspective how that would be to execute. It appears natural enough without being gimmicky. Like maybe they happened upon that spot and it had already been there; which metaphorically speaking some of our greatest moments in life seem somehow 'accidental'. I'm glad they are both wide awake, even alert, with the lamb's ears sensing something in the distance. We must be vigilant about our own awakening, and eager for the next inspiration and life's teaching to come our way. My hope for the future is that we can all practice a benevolent-tolerance of others' ideas and practices, i think that is at the core of what love is.....I hope you enjoyed the painting experience of the lion and the lamb...Wally...."
