Milford Home

House portrait

When I took the photos for this portrait the snow was on the ground.  But with the help of some reference photos taken during the spring and summer, I was able to adjust and add to the landscape.

This is a lovely home with lots of historical charm, one of Milford's best.

The medium I used is gouache, an opaque watercolor that is saturated with color, one of my favorite mediums.

Now if we could have our wish, a warm and sunny spring would be here now to replace all the rain and fog that seems to be dominating our region.

The Milford Journal

"The most important work that you and I will do will be within the walls of our own home."

The Milford Journal  a publication of the "upper Delaware River highlands and valleys seeks to capture the momentary snapshots of beauty both graphically and through the written word.  The magazine owned and operated by Amy and Jim Bridge celebrates the uniqueness of the people who live and work in the tri-state region.  From Pike to Wayne, Monroe to Lackawanna counties in PA, up river to Sullivan County and on to Orange County, NY and over the rolling hills to Sussex County, NJ, with quaint and historic Milford, PA, at its center, the Milford Journal opens its doors to ...serve as a communicative journal of all that we have to offer..."

It is with great appreciation that I wish to announce the article written in the April 2011 issue, the 2nd Year Anniversary edition, that features my paintings and a story about my life.

Many thanks to Jim, Amy and James and all the staff for their contributions to our community for all of us to enjoy.

You may pick up your free issue in most retail stores, shops, restaurants and galleries in the area.
