 "Hardshell Finish"
multiples the topic for Illustration Friday
When I painted this, I was working on a geisha series, and the turtle race was symbolic of the projected finish dates for our house and studio construction.

 The front porch
It's been a while since I've added house construction updates, but the weather has been a factor in slowing the building process. But that's winter weather in the Poconos. Today there were 10 inches of snow that got dumped in our region, but quite beautiful I might add.
This is a more current picture of the front porch.

 Guest room
And here's the same corner of the guest room now with dry wall. I was inspired by my friend Norma, a poet, to write poetry on the walls before they are painted. Now each room has a poem written in pencil on the wall to bless the house with special feelings and intentions.

 "Choose"
I've found a website called Illustration Friday which offers a topic of the week. Than artists send in their interpretation of the topic and it is linked to their blog or website.
It seems like a fun way to have a fresh project each week.
This is my first entry and I'm just going to dive in because how else will I get my feet wet?
The topic: CHOOSE
Well I'm a mom, and moms sometimes have to divide their attention for each of their kids, but ultimately get around to each one, just choosing how and when.
